Frank noted 28 of the new categories have zero articles linked to them. Of these 21 are categories that we added to Mars Outreach and Mars Arts and Literature. Frank noted the subcommittee meetings in Feb-March had established the new Marspedia category tree as being much more focused on the future and specifically expanded on aspects of the future human exploration and permanent settlement of the Red Planet. It also focuses on outreach (advocacy) to encourage individuals and the public at large to support human exploration and settlement there.

Jim noted that we might want to introduce the new Category tree as a more efficient way to navigate Mars topics in addition to the above mentioned future focus.

We discussed how to organize the articles associated with Mars Arts and Literature. For example Frank noted how the Goodreads website provides a blog and rating for each book that is reviewed. We then established some questions that deserved the attention of the full subcommittee in future meetings.
1. How might we recommend a set of Mars focused science fiction books?
2. Would we simply ask for recommended titles and a short paragraph synopsis on how the book focuses on aspects of Mars exploration and/or settlement?
3. Would we link to other sites that have reviews of art and literature that have a focus on Mars?
4. How will we recruit volunteers to write Marspedia articles?
5. Bruce suggested - Could we examine other sites, identify potential authors, and recruit them to write a Marspedia article or stub that links to their site?
6. Should we copy content from an already existing article elsewhere or provide a link to it?
