Methods of processing the atmosphere.

Collection of atmosphere

A device similar to a vacuum pump collects martian air.

Distillation

First, Carbon dioxide is distilled and stored elsewhere for production processes. Next, water is condensed and purified, and then stored elsewhere for production processes, radiation shielding and for use inside the colony. Then, Nitrogen is condensed at low temperatures and stored. The resulting gas can be vented or kept for several purposes.
