Our Solar System contains mainly our sun and the eight planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Additionally, there is the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, several moons orbiting the planets, lots of comets, and the Oort cloud on the outer rim.

The space between these cosmic bodies is near vacuum, with solar wind and solar radiation decreasing towards outer space.
