Herbs are plants grown for their flavor, smell, or medicinal properties. They improve morale by adding variety to food. Some herbs have medicinal properties. Whole leaves and sometimes stems and berries are used, in contrast to spices, which are dried seeds or powdered parts of a variety of plants.
Cultivation
Most herbs are small, hardy plants. They grow readily in small containers or hydroponic rigs.
