It is suggested that a number of spacesuits are used. This is time consuming and costly. Airless and semi-protected parts of the base could be maintained by robots, and acsessed with regular spacesuits. T.Neo 10:00, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you are perfectly right. How about the changes I have made to the article? -- Rfc 06:52, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Your edits are ok, but I think we should split this up into:

Outside /vacuum suit: Suitable for outside use, including telecommunication systems, radiation shields and an air supply. When in use in airless parts of the base, air can be supplied to the suit and any external radiation shielding can be removed.

Decompression suit: A pressure suit that can protect in case of an emergency or when in less protected parts of the base.

Everyday wear: For use inside the main base, offering minimal protection from radiation. The inide of the base should be made safe against decompression. The space shuttle and ISS crews wear normal clothes in orbit, so I dont see why Mars colonists should. Anyway, it a risky operation is takeing place, the crew could don the Decompression suits.
