I am currently living in the state of Georgia in the US with my beautiful wife and neurotic dachshund. I have a deep interest in astronomy and space exploration. Though my education and experience is geared more towards terrestrial interests, I will contribute as able (mostly by editing for grammar - at least untill I get more comfotable with this whole wiki thing.)
I have a BA in Cross-Cultural Studies, and currently work as a technical writer and training developer for Navitor ( http://www.navitor.com ) while my wife attends graduate school.
10/13/08 - I am back after a extended pause due to workload and connection issues.
Exoplatz Stars, Nebulae, et c.
Thank you for your additions to Exoplatz. Question: can you fitnd any public domain databases, or similar for these? We could then set up a script to automatically generate stubs for them in bulk, as was done with Exodictionary, the chemical elements on Lunarpedia (and should also be done with Marspedia), and the still not completed script for generating articles on locations on Luna (which could then be applied to Mars with a different data set plugged in and presumably with support for competing longitudinal systems removed).
Examples:
Presumably nebulae won't have the sorts of challenges I had working out how to categorize dictionary entries with a script from the text of the entries. 8)
