Changes to crops:

  • Threw away 2 pots of spinach due to it dying
  • Radishes growing very well and one look almost ready for harvest
  • Tomatoes looking lackluster
  • Cucumbers still look bad, may need to move these pots to different locations
  • Other crops display same progress

  • Most plants display same progress
  • Microgreens were harvested
  • 2 pots of spinach is dead, will toss

Narrative: Watered plants throughout the day as needed. Microgreen project has been harvested and obtaining experimental data is still ongoing.

Changes to crops:

  • Sunflowers, radishes, and savory mix leaves looking great
  • Tomatoes continuing to have satisfactory progress
  • Spinach pots look to be dying (may need to re-plant new pots)
  • Cress looking lackluster
  • Other crops display same progress

Narrative: Watered plants throughout the day as needed. Used fertilizer (miracle glow) on microgreens. Everything looking satisfactory for the most part.

Changes to crops:

  • 1 pot of sugar pea pods starting to look worse
  • Tomatoes seem to be better on the top rack of tier bench
  • Onions looking better
  • Romaine Lettuce newly planted
  • 1 pot of mustard white-looking powder on topsoil
  • Other plants have same progress

Narrative: Watered plants throughout the day as needed. Planted new romaine lettuce. One pot of the mustard has a white-looking powder that has formed today (not sure if it’s a concern).

Watered Crew 201 experiments – the majority is growing well

Changes to crops:

  • Moved location of tomatoes
  • Moved location of some trays of microgreens
  • Carrots starting to look better after fertilizer
  • Cucumbers seem to have same progress
  • Other plants are showing either normal or good progress

Narrative: Watered plants throughout the day as needed. Did light watering throughout the day and moved the tomatoes on tiered bench at far right corner.

Watered all 21 trays as needed. Some trays of microgreens are looking lackluster while other are looking great. May be due to the spatial location of the trays.

  • Cucumbers starting to look worse
  • Sunflowers look ok but some of the leaves are starting to shrivel up.
  • 1 pot of the spinach is starting to look worse
  • Tomatoes looks the same
  • Other plants showing progress

Narrative:

Watered plants throughout the day as needed. Some of the pots were still damp but dryer

in comparison to yesterday. Light watering was done. I am thinking about adding fertilizer (miracle grow)

to plants that look worse.

Changes to crops:

  • Cucumber leaves did not perk back up early in the morning before sunrise (0611)
  • 2 pots of spinach lacking progress
  • 1 snap pea pot lacking progress
  • Majority of other plants displays good progress

Narrative: Watered plants throughout the day as needed. 3 gallons were used for microgreens and 2 gallons were used for other plants. Was not sunny today and there was moisture still visible in some pots which I did not water. For cucumbers and tomatoes, I did not water. Will determine if more water is required tommorow.

  • Some of the microgreens showing good progress
  • Lettuce Red leafs showing good progress

  • One microgreen tray for crew harvest was wrapped in seran wrap to trap humidity
  • Cucumbers starting to look worse

Changes to crops:

  • 7 growth trays of daikon radish micro-greens prepared
  • Sunflowers Growing very well
  • Some of savory mix greens failing to sprout
  • Radishes growing very well
  • Tomatoes still lacking growth

Narrative: Finished preparing the 7 growth trays for control condition. Placed all of the plants in its original location. Placed the 80% shade back on in its original location as well. Watered all of the plants as needed and some of the plants are showing good progress.

Prepared 7 growth trays as control condition. Sampled the micro-greens for grey water and soil conditions. Watered all 21 trays as needed.

Times of Watering for Crops: 1454 1900

Changes to crops:

  • Tomatoes have the same growth
  • Cucumbers leaves looking dry

– Will water more

  • One radish looking dry
  • Some cilantro look dry and weak
  • Lettuce is growing well
  • Snap Peas are growing very well
  • 14 trays of daikon radish microgreens planted (Greywater condition and Soil Condition)

Narrative: Plants are growing relatively well except for some looking dry. Daikon radish microgreens have started for two conditions but cannot start the final control condition due to power conservation mode.

Will start another 7 trays for daikon radish microgreens tomorrow (SOL5). 80% shade was taken down on the right-hand corner.
