388886main_mars_ice_226x170.jpg(226 × 170 pixels, file size: 59 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

A new crater shows an icy subsurface. Far away from the icy poles, at 43.28 degrees north latitude, 164.22 degrees east longitude, this was quite unexpected. The photos show the process of sublimation over a period of a few months.
