Summary

Description
English: A ring mold crater starts with a regular impact crater. Later, the whole area is covered with mantle material that drops from the sky. The layers of mantle may contain different amounts of ice. Since the material in the center of the crater is deeper, its increased weight will compact it; thus making it more resistant to erosion. More erosion will happen around the edge of the crater. That results is a plateau in the center.
