Hi dj  that's a good general rule of thumb, but I don't know if I'd say it's a good  blneakt statement'.  Things like bacon would be allowed in the sense that they fall into the low carb, non-dairy category but you still wouldn't want to eat too much of it.  Another example would be soy products, in the book Tim recommends limiting consumption of those.
