The Canadian Northern Light[1] project is an ambitious unmanned mission to Mars under development. It aims at collecting more data about the Martian atmosphere and lithosphere, using one or more landers. The most advanced lander is the Beaver rover. The Algonquin Radio Observatory serves as the official ground station for the mission.

A crowd-sourcing drive in 2014 failed to raise the required initial capital and the project appears to be in limbo at this time (2019).
