Overview
The European Space Agency (ESA) is the European organization responsible for space missions and space research in 17 member states. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom are represented and operate ESA. Canada, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic also participate in some projects under cooperation agreements.
ESA's program of future exploratory missions is ExoMars.
