How about a "Venuspedia"? I am semi-joking. Settling the moon and mars is more practical, in my opinion. The asteroid belt or the moons of Jupiter might even be a better goal. - I think we can do it on Mars, but I don't think we can do it on Venus. Without mining there is no way to build a growing autonomous colony, I'm afraid. At least with currently known technology. The asteroid belt or the moons of Jupiter might even be a better goal.
