Fiberglass is made from thin filiments of glass. It is flexible, unlike other forms of glass.

Natural or synthetic polymers are often combined with fiberglass to create a strong, yet lightweight, composite material. This material is often refered to as fiberglass, though technicaly it is a fiber reinforced polymer.
