Launch system

A launch system is a combination of various elements required to launch a payload into space. It includes the launch pad, the support infrastructure, the launch vehicle, the payload carrier vehicle and the mission support systems.
Advanced launch systems, such as Langstrom loops, space elevators or some electromagnetic launch systems might also be termed space transportation infrastructures, as no actual launch would be involved.
