I don't understand the "too heavy" comment. Glass is the traditional way greenhouses are built on Earth and Mars has only a third of the gravity. Indeed, I envision using glass brick as a construction material, because it can let in light and yet is thick enough make a pressure vessel. In 1/3 gravity we can afford to use heavier material and make much larger structures than on earth. Frontiersman 00:24, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
