A Rover is any vehicle designed to traverse the surface of a planet, moon, or asteroid.
Rovers on the Moon
Unmanned
Lunokhod 1 and 2 were the first rovers to explore the surface of the Earth's moon.
Chandrayaan-II is currently under development by ISRO.
Manned
Several Apollo missions carried specially designed lunar rovers. These all-terrain vehicles greatly extended the range of the crew.
