The Sun is the object with the greatest mass of the solar system and is located in the center.
It produces large amounts of energy by thermonuclear processes and emits solar wind and solar radiation.
Eight planets are orbiting the sun, amoung them Mars and Earth.
The emitted power is 3,846 × 1026 W. From this the power of 1367 W/m2 reaches Earth, making life on Earth possible. The more distant Mars still receives 589 W/m2, usable by solar panels.
